Verified ReviewerIf there was a negative star review I t would be negative five stars!!!!
- - They demanded $300 for a job they wouldn’t finish.
- - They charged $25 per inside window, did not wash walls, used dirty equipment, and left stains.
They demand $300 up front for a job they had no intentions of doing it was supposed to be a full spring cleaning turned into a 3 hour surface cleaning they charge $25 for each window only on the inside.. they do not wash walls ..
they used old dirty cleaning equipment.. stains were left on the baseboard and floors they were going to charge $525 for this service. I sent pictures of the stains left and the job that was done and fought the second payment!!!
I had to spend the rest of the day doing what they couldnt accomplish even after I had removed everything out of the way so they had a clear path!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!
- No pros
- All cons
User's recommendation: Marilac Halvorsen and Luciana Kubacki (774) 368-****. These two women are experienced and did 4x the work for 1/2 the price merimaids charge! They are incredible, they do everything, windows, walls , glass sliders absolutely everything with perfection!!!

- - Grace in Casselberry forgot the interview; it was conducted via teams.
- - I was hired today elsewhere; they have awful reviews.
I went to the interview. Grace, the manager in Casselberry, forgot about the interview so we conducted it via teams.
That should have been the first red flag. Anyway, after the ten-minute interview was over, she said she would check my references and call me back. Well, she never checked any of my references and just emailed me saying they chose another candidate. No integrity, thank God I went with my instincts and interviewed elsewhere.
I was hired today. I should have researched them first; they have awful reviews.

Verified ReviewerNever was happy with this company!
- - Work quality was poor and items were broken.
- - The service was stopped after complaints, claimed staff shortages.
- - Customer alleges racial bias as the reason not to return.
I was trying to be fair with this company. They have broken things in my home and the work they provided was POOR!!!
I believe since I complained about things they called and said that they're not going to service my home anymore. Due to being short-staffed. I will share the messages of all of the apologies for the things that they did! The excuse why they can't clean my home anymore is 100 percent BS!!!
It's 2025 and what does a few Caucasian women look like cleaning a black women's on home on the west side of Dayton?...
You guessed it!!! That's the REAL REASON why the won't come back!!!
Complaint
- - Sheboygan walk-through request; Anna was nice on the phone.
- - No one called at appointment time; I had to call.
I called the Sheboygan office with a request for a walk through.
Anna was very nice on the phone.
I waited on the day she was to call and come out so I could direct her to the house
Nobody called.
So I called.
Anna was perplexed and unaware of our appointment???!!
I just told her nevermind.
Then I wrote an email to her with a complaint.
Then she wrote back pretending to be the victim and saying that's he apologized and that I shouldn't be insulting to her.
I'm sick and tired of *** service.
How can I trust anyone to keep future appointments if she can't even remember to write down an appointment??

Verified ReviewerHouse worse than it was
- - Cleaning requested for kitchen and baths; one person worked 5 hours but the job was unsatisfactory.
- - No follow-up call; do not hire this company.
Deep cleaning was requested for the kitchen/bathrooms. One girl came; the job was not satisfactory after 5 hours.
The floor was unclean, cabinets were dusty, shower doors had to be redone by me, the ceiling vent was filthy. The company did not call for a follow-up. When I called, they said the job was done properly; they had pictures.
Well, so do I and would be happy to share them. Do not hire this company!
Fed up
- - Two reps arrive on schedule with excuses; laminate damaged.
- - Jan Daniels is skilled but can't finish all tasks.
- - I was charged for a day’s work.
If two representatives of the service arrive (always at the time of the company's convenience), when I ask about this, I am given many varied excuses. This translates to me as they get paid, and I deal with whatever is delivered. I have been fortunate for the last few months, having one employee, Jan Daniels, who does know her skills and presents them. However, she can't get everything done in the timeframe that is allotted to her.
I had an employee swear at me, I mean seriously swear, including 'F-Y.' I had to tell the supervisor that I do not want this employee in my house, nor sitting in the car outside of my house, while one employee had to do all the work.
The employee who has a foul mouth has used dirty, sloppy mop water on my laminate flooring so much that it's peeling up in areas. I know it's not the most expensive flooring in the world, however, it's paid for and it looks like it needs to be repaired. I have been charged for a day's work, yet no one was here working. So, I know I will have to call and deal with excuses, just to have work done.
This company was hired because I have had emergency heart surgery and on my spine, thinking surely they would be a professional service. I have a company coming this upcoming weekend. They know I have this service weekly, and I am sure they will notice.
What I think is routine housecleaning has been described to me as a desire for a deep clean. Is sweeping under the couch considered a deep clean?
Preferred solution: Improvement no excuses, no cussing no dirty, slop water not having to explain to them how to do it unless of course this company wants to pay me Because I’m having to train them
User's recommendation: I think it best. I don’t answer this at the present moment.
Terrible deep clean
- - The deep clean left several spots untouched.
- - They claimed we didn't specify cupboards or lampshades.
- - We paid a high price for a half-done job.
We wanted the house to be deep cleaned, but several spots were left untouched. After telling them about our disappointment, they said we did not explicitly say we wanted the insides of our cupboards, or lampshades done.
I don't know what else a deep clean of the entire house could mean.
We included some extra details we didn't want them to miss and it seems that they interpreted this as only doing these parts. Very expensive for a half-done job.
- Quick to respond
- Expensive
- No price reduction or refund for missed parts
Preferred solution: Price reduction

Verified ReviewerMr Rolfe - Merry Maids of Kingston
- - Ten days under Mr. Rolfe showed lax document verification, missing first-aid procedures, and a dismissive response to client reviews.
I am writing to formally express my deep concerns and dissatisfaction with my recent employment experience under Mr. Rolfe's management.
During my brief tenure of 10 days, I observed several issues that raised serious doubts about the professionalism and ethical standards within the company.
These concerns primarily revolve around the laxity in document verification processes, including right-to-work checks and passport scrutiny, which are crucial for compliance with UK laws and policies.
Moreover, the lack of emphasis on health and safety measures, particularly in the absence of proper first aid procedures, creates an environment where employees might find themselves at risk in case of emergencies. This negligence is alarming and should be addressed promptly.
Additionally, the unprofessional response to negative reviews on public platforms, as evidenced by Mr.
Rolfe's reaction to a client's feedback, is concerning. A dismissive attitude towards customer reviews reflects poorly on the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and professionalism.
Deep cleaning wasn't clean or Deep. Floor is dull looking. Tile is sticky. Very disappointing.
- - Too expensive for the service.
- - Three cleaners worked two hours; results were not thorough.
- - Floors will need re-cleaning; nothing shined.
Too much money for what I received. 3 ladies cleaning for 2 hours and not thoroughly clean.
Nothing shines. Really just a, you should pardon the expression, half-assed job.
I will have to re-clean my floors. Very disappointed.fibdFind
User's recommendation: Find another cleaner, someone who is on their own.
Absolute horrible management
- - A shooting outside Merry Maids on day two was downplayed.
- - Penny Boyd followed employees home and threatened to sue; contracts weren't provided.
COLORADO SPRINGS MERRY MAIDS
I highly recommend any other employment. My second day of work there was a shooting outside the building and the man lost his life.
When I asked my manager what happened she said "oh it was just the last girl that tried to quit me". Penny Boyd has also followed employees home, shown up at employees homes if they were late to work, and threatens to sue employees any chance she gets. Penny has refused to give me the copies of the contracts she whips out when it is convenient for herself.
I've gone to the police, labor board, and now corporate. I doubt anything will be done about it, but people really need to know how horrible of a company this is.
Preferred solution: The copies of my contracts
User's recommendation: Stop giving them your money
Extremely poor cleaning quality
- - Ten-hour empty-house clean left me re-cleaning the house.
- - Tops of cupboards and inside cupboards were not wiped; cobwebs in the utility room; dirty toilet.
Blackpool Mery Maids
I advise you to stay away.
A 10 hour empty house deep clean left me re-cleaning the whole house.
Dirty light-headed
Dirty toilet
Tops of cupboards not wiped
Inside cupboards not wiped
Cobwebs in the utility room
The list of issues goes on
User's recommendation: Go to any other company

Verified ReviewerMr Rolfe - Merry Maids - Kingston UK
- - Manager lacks knowledge of right-to-work checks.
- - Health and safety standards are not followed.
- - Threatening letters from Mr Gary Rolfe, Kingston.
hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against the manager at Merry Maids Kingston, concerning multiple issues that have raised serious concerns during my employment.
Firstly, there appears to be a lack of knowledge about the legal requirements for checking the right to work documentation.
This has created uncertainty and potential issues for employees.
Secondly, there is a notable absence of adherence to health and safety standards within the workplace.
This oversight poses a risk to the well-being of the staff.
Most distressingly, I have received threatening letters from the manager, implying reporting me to the Board Police based on an alleged illegal status. I have retained copies of these letters as evidence.
I believe such behavior is unprofessional and creates a hostile work environment.
This is Mr Gary Rolfe from Kingston.
